  • 2 pounds chocken legs thighs (• 4 chicken thighs (bone in) and 2 chicken legs)
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, chicken seasoning
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce (low sodium)
  • dark soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger
Instructions
  1. Wash chicken with water and vinegar, trim excess fat and skin. In a small bowl, combine olive oil with all the dry seasoning, except for the red pepper flakes, mix well to combine. Season chicken pieces well, be sure to get some under the skin. Let marinade for at least 1 hour. Preheat oven to 375, bake for 45 minutes, skin side down. At the last 10 minutes or so, in a saucepan, add butter and garlic, cook garlic about 2 minutes, add honey, soy sauces, vinegar and red pepper flakes, stirring constantly cook for about 3 minutes on low. When chicken is done, remove from oven, if there is any liquid (I had about 2/3 cup), add it to the sauce, cook another 2 minutes. Add sauce over chicken put oven on broil and cook for another 6 minutes
