Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Wash and clean meat with water and vinegar, trim excess fat. Season with salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, rosemary, fresh thyme, minced garlic and 1 tbsp soy sauce. Cover and marinade for at least 1 hour, the longer the better. Heat olive on medium high heat, sear meat on each side (about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove seared meat from pan, add butter, smashed garlic, onion, and sauté for a minute, add flour and stir continuously for 1 minute, deglaze pan with red wine, add meat back in and add hot water Cover and cook in oven for 2 hours. In the meantime, in a small bowl, combine sugar, remaining soy sauce, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce, using a fork mix well, until sugar dissolves. Remove from oven add sliced onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, diced carrots, the ketchup mixture also add to beef broth and mix well, add to meat, cover, and cook for another 45 minutes.
