Description

This Brown Sugar Maple Glazed Salmon is a delectable blend of sweet and savory flavors, perfect for a special dinner or a weeknight treat. The salmon is marinated in a mix of soy sauce, olive oil, maple syrup, and an array of spices including nutmeg, thyme, paprika, and ginger. After marinating, the salmon is baked to perfection and topped with a rich, buttery maple glaze, creating a deliciously caramelized crust. Serve with a side of baked sweet potato, drizzled with the remaining sauce for an unforgettable meal.

INGREDIENTS
  • 3 • salmon
  • 4 tablespoons • soy sauce (low sodium)
  • 2 tablespoons • olive oil (divided 1n1)
  • • ½ tsp grated nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon • brown sugar
  • 6 tablespoons • maple syrup (divided 2 n4)
  • 2 teaspoons • dried parsley flakes (divided 1 n1)
  • 1 teaspoon • dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon • sweet paprika
  • 1 teaspoon • white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon • onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon • garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon • old bay seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon • sweet paprika
  • • ½ tsp organic ground ginger
  • 2 (cut into slices)
  • • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons • olive oil (divided 1n1)
  • 4 tablespoons • butter (unsalted)
  • 4 tablespoons • water
  • 1 teaspoon • cornstarch
Instructions
  1. Cut salmon into desired pieces, wash in salt water and rinse. In a small bowl, in a small bowl combine, 1 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp maple syrup, 1 tsp dried parsley, and the remaining dry seasonings except for ground ginger and mix well to combine. Pat dry salmon, layer baking dish with remaining 1 tbsp olive oil, season salmon well on both sides with seasoning mixture. Cover and set aside for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 350 cover and bake for 30minutes. In a small bowl, combine remaining soy sauce, remaining maple syrup, with pinch of fresh ground ginger a pinch of nutmeg, water and cornstarch, mix well and combine in a saucepan add butter, when butter melts, add sugar stir r continuously till sugar dissolves, add liquid mixture, stir continuously for about 2 minutes, until you get right thickness. Remove salmon from oven, then pour half of the sauce on salmon pieces. Put back in the oven uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes.
