A simple beef and broccoli recipe, using ground beef instead, which makes it more budget-friendly
Add ground beef to hot sauté pan, (no oil), add all the ground seasoning, bell peppers, onion and garlic and butter mix to combine well, cook until meat is golden brown. In the meantime, in a bowl, add sugar, red pepper flakes, all the liquid ingredients, ginger and cornstarch and mix well. Remove any excess oil if any. Submerge broccoli in hot water for 3 minutes, remove and sit in ice cold water. When ground beef is done cooking, add liquid mixture, stir, and combine well, cover and cook for 10 minutes, add the broccoli, and stir to combine well. Turn heat off not to overcook broccoli.
