Heat olive oil on medium heat, add garlic, and onions and sauté for 2 minutes, add turmeric powder and stir constantly for 1 minute. Add water, all the dry seasonings, bring to a boil and green onions, thyme, and butter. Add washed rice, cover, and cook for 25 minutes. Use a fork and fluff your rice. Tip You can substitute 1cup of the water for coconut milk.
